High V

In a high v your arms should be slightly in front of you and straight. Be sure to keep your thumbs tucked in and not to turn your wrists.

Low V

A low v is very similar to the high v except it is below you waist. You do not want turned wrists or thumbs sticking out. Here are pictures of good and bad low v's.

T

In a T your arms are slightly in front of your body and in a straight line. Once again your wrists should not be curved and your elbows shouldn't be bent. Here are pictures of correct and incorrect pictures of a T motion.

Half T

A half T is alot like a T motion. In a half T your arms are once again in a straight line without turned wrists.

Touch Down

In this motion you should have your arms straight and right next to your ears. The challenge in this motion is having your fists look flat at the top. This means all your knuckles should be at the same level and your thumb should be tucked in.

Low Touch Down

A low touch down is the same thing except your arms are down low instead of by your ears.

Combination Motions

Many motions are combinations of the basic ones. Such as a high v and an arm on the hip like shown in the picture.

Diagonal

The diagonal is simply one arm in a high v and the other in a low v.

Left Punch Across

Take one arm, right or left, and punch it across your body in a t motion. Put the other arm on your hip. Make sure your arm is straight across and not bent. This motion is shown in the picture to the side.

K

The k is a combination of a high v and a low v. One hand is in the position of a high v and the other is in the position of a low v, but across your body. This is shown in the picture.

L

The l motion is a combination of a high touchdown and a t. By putting one arm in each postition, you create an L.
